Marketing strategy development, graphic design, copywriting (long-form, B2B), brand alignment

Selected pages from a marketing plan developed for Food Link as my Marketing Communications capstone project at Emerson College. While this was a collaborative effort, the selected pages use only my own designs and copy (aside from the Mission/Vision/Core Values, which are Food Link's). Why would I put it in my portfolio if it wasn't?

Glow Hartford - Blog Posts (2023)

Copywriting (conversational short-form, listicles), research, brand alignment

Blog posts I wrote for Glow Hartford, a client of The Gold Group. (This isn't confidential information, it's on The Gold Group's website, just let "Our Clients" scroll for a bit.) Note that I only wrote the posts for the year 2023; the ones for 2022 are not by me. I'm still surprised they let me keep the Christmas in Connecticut joke.

Monsters On Set - Marketing Campaign

Marketing strategy development, digital art (cartoon style), brand alignment, offline-online integration

Selected Instagram posts drawn to promote Monsters On Set. More can be seen here; please note that many post descriptions were written by our social media manager, not by me. The campaign also included a guerilla/OOH element in which we moved a cardboard cut-out of one of our characters to different locations around campus. (Fun fact; we used an old marketing textbook to weigh her down!)

Prim M's Playlist - Full Episode, Transcript, and Marketing Materials

Scriptwriting (conversational monologue), audio editing, transcription (scripted short-form audio), research

The final episode of my old podcast Prim M's Playlist, "A Super-Spooky Season Finale!," released under Brainrot Presents. This podcast focuses on reviewing and recommending small and/or independent South Korean musicians' work based on the listener's taste in mainstream K-pop. This was a solo project, meaning I did all the research, writing, recording, editing, transcribing, and promotion.

Below it are five computer file graphics, each with a pink outline; the interior of each is an album cover put through a purple filter. From left to right, top to bottom, the albums are; Prescription by sogumm (depicting trees), DVMN SH1T by PIGIE ft. Hijvc Kid (depicting grinning cartoon faces), Kill by Kim Yeon Kyoung (depicting an underwater scene), ARMZ by F.K.A Shadow (depicting a melancholy face), and Puppet by CREAM (depicting a woman surrounded by hands). The bottom of the image has a close-up of a purple CD, largely cut off, and purple text on top says 'Happy Halloween!'

Lukewarm Takes - Episode Transcript

Transcription (unscripted long-form audio), research

My transcription of Brainrot Presents' Lukewarm Takes season 3 episode 6, "Swimming with the Sharpies." This podcast focuses on analysis of film, television, and internet media, and is hosted by Brainrot Presents' co-founders. I chose this episode because it includes a lot of highly specific terminology that auto-transcription software may not pick up on (hence the "research" required).

Though not my part of the work, I recommend listening to the episode as you read:

Brainrot Presents - Official Website

Basic coding (HTML, CSS), web design, web accessiblity

A mobile-responsive website for Brainrot Presents with information about us, contact links, and pages for each of our podcasts. I made it as accessible as possible; every image has alt text, every link and embed has a title, HTML tags are used for their intended purposes (which helps screenreaders), and all text is suitably high-contrast compared to its background. (I've since done the same to this website as well.)

Amanita Design - Public Relations Campaign (SPEC WORK)

Public relations strategy development, copywriting (public relations documents), speechwriting

A full public relations plan for Amanita Design and their upcoming game Phonopolis, created as a semester-long project for my public relations class. Documents include a roadmap, calendar, positioning statements, company background, press release, news article pitch, white paper, CEO bio, media alert, and speech. This is 100% spec work; I am not affiliated with Amanita Design (I wish I was!). Some information is censored in this upload, as "some guy's PR writing portfolio" is the stupidest way to get doxxed.

Breaking News! On WSEA - Full Episode, Transcript, Strategy, and Marketing Materials (PILOT)

Scriptwriting (children's audio fiction), audio editing, transcription (scripted short-form audio), research, marketing strategy and content concepting, voice acting

The pilot episode of a children's educational podcast all about the ocean, the scientific process, and science communication. This was my final project for my podcasting class, and includes the actual episode audio, its transcript, the strategy/target audience, and a piece of marketing content. I wasn't planning on making any more episodes of this, but if any producers are looking at this... I wouldn't be opposed. All sponsorships are fake! We were required to include them as part of the assignment.

Basic coding (HTML, CSS), web design

This website doesn't just host my portfolio; it's in my portfolio, too! (Talk about recursion...) This is my first coding and web design project, and I'm happy to have learned this new skill. Expect more examples in this portfolio in the future!
